Safety and Care
Your pup’s safety is my absolute top priority. I take immense pride in handcrafting beautiful, durable collars using high-quality 550 paracord and heavy-duty hardware. My gear is designed for everyday use, from neighbourhood walks to exciting adventures.
1. A Note on Handmade Quality
Every Trixie Delite collar is crafted by hand. While I use the highest quality materials and proven weaving techniques for strength, the handmade nature means that slight variations may occur. I believe this is part of the unique charm of a bespoke item.
2. The Owner's Responsibility: Regular Inspection
No collar is indestructible. It is the owner’s sole responsibility to inspect their dog’s collar regularly for any signs of wear and tear. This includes checking the weave for any snags or frays, and ensuring the buckle and D-ring are functioning properly. A damaged or worn collar should be retired immediately.
3. Intended Use: For Walking & Identification Only
My collars are designed and intended for use as a fashionable accessory and for walking a well-behaved dog on a leash.
My collars are NOT intended for “tie-out” or tethering. Never leave a dog tied up and unsupervised while wearing one of our collars, as this can lead to extreme strain and potential failure.- For very strong pullers or dogs with reactive tendencies, I recommend using my collar as a beautiful accessory for ID tags, while using a training-specific harness or head halter as the primary tool for restraint and control.
4. Assumption of Risk
By purchasing and using a Trixie Delite product, the buyer assumes all risk and responsibility for any accident, injury, or damage that may occur from the use of the collar. Trixie Delite and its owner cannot be held liable for any misuse or for any accidents that may occur while a dog is wearing our product.
